Youth Projects
At any time there can be over twenty individual youth projects running in different parts of the county. These include Music Projects, the Garda Youth Diversion Project, Arts Groups, Youth Cafes and the HUB.
Each of these projects is based on a need or gap identified by young people themselves or by those working with them. There is strong focus on young people managing or directing the activities of these projects.
A typical example is the HUB, a project designed, planned and operated by young people at a newly - refurbished premises in Chapel Lane, Ennis.
Aimed at 18 - 25 year olds, the HUB is simply a venue run and managed by young people and offering a space that beats to the rhythm of a creative youth agenda, rather than a commercial one.
Clare Youth Service always put an emphasis on helping young people to be independent, to take decisions and run their own activities.
We look forward to generating new projects and increasing participation in existing ones in the years to come. This is where you come in, so tell us what you'd like to see or which project you'd like to get involved in.
