Youth Clubs & Projects
There are 35 clubs and projects in the county, catering for over 1500 young people. The menu of activities is ever growing and youth clubs have come a long way in recent years, reflecting a vibrant mix of local youth volunteers, youth committees and professional support from Clare Youth Service.
There is now in place new training and supports for volunteers so that the county's young people can continue to access safe and entertaining opportunities to socialise in their local area.
At the local youth club, members, volunteer leaders and CYS staff plan a programme of activities that is driven by the members' interest and needs. The menu might include many different activities under the headings of sports, arts, personal development, trips and exchanges. Most of all, however, the local youth club is a place to be yourself – to meet with friends, hang out and grow as a person in a safe, local environment.
