Services – Youth Work
Shannon Youth Work
Shannon has a long tradition of Youth Work with full time workers employed there for over thirty years. Services are provided from a central location in the Respond Community Building as well as on an outreach basis throughout the town.
There is currently one full time and one part time Youth Worker employed in Shannon. The Youth Workers work with individuals and groups of young people in the local are to meet their needs through the establishment of project based initiatives.
Current Projects

- Youth Information Points in Schools and public buildings
- Personal & Social Development Group work Programmes
- School Mentoring Programme
- Youth Exchange Opportunities
- One to one support
- Links to Community Groups
- Community Projects locally
