Services – Youth Work
"Youth Work is a planned systematic non-formal educational process which assists and enhances the personal and social development of young people. It is complementary to the school and in Ireland is implemented primarily by voluntary youth organisations and groups" - Youth Work Act 2001
Within Clare Youth Service the aim of Youth Work is to assist in the personal, social and spiritual development of all young people. Fundamental to this is a belief that adults and young people should work collectively to identify needs and possible solutions.
- The provision of support for young people on an individual basis.
- The active involvement of young people in the design, development and delivery of all projects and clubs.
- The provision of relevant and effective responses to identified needs.
